Toda a verdade, os "de Paula"!

Alguns já o sabem e outros desconhecem que o meu tio-bisavô (Dr. Virgílio Paula) foi co-fundador do C.F. “Os belenenses”, seleccionador nacional, etc.…à parte dessas facetas foi também um famoso médico na zona de Belém onde tantas vezes prescrevia “penaltis” como forma de tratamento para a tuberculose e outras maleitas, naquele tempo não havia nada que um copo de vinho não curasse. 

Há pelo menos um ano que um primo meu (José António Saraiva – ex-director do Expresso e actual director do “SOL”) com o qual não costumo comunicar devido ás vicissitudes da vida e outros tantos contratempos, publicou esta excelente história sobre esse nobre e curioso homem de nome Virgílio Paula:

Para alem deste rebuliço de novelas familiares descobri recentemente que o professor Dr. José Hermano Saraiva (“mano Zé”, como lhe chama a minha avó) é também meu familiar.

SCOM2007 R2 Reporting / ACS

Not to much to say about this except be aware how you install SCOM2007 R2 (it was the same thing in the previous version), plan wisely and install step by step in order…otherwise you’ll end up with a screwed up Reporting (i mean SCOM reporting, not the SQL SRS). The same goes for ACS, in this case this is a bit more sensitive..be cautious with DB reinstall.

The correct recipe:

Install SCOM Reporting and ACS from the beginning, the MP’s in second place always (be aware with some of them, still a bit buggy and throwing out a lot of trash in the event viewer).

By the way, monitoring ESX Servers works really great except when there are some low memory/cpu resources  (agent heartbeat will result in greyed out agent icons..ahahah)
